Podman as an alternative to Docker Desktop
If you didn’t know, Docker Desktop costs money.
Their free license goes away if you work at a company with over 250 employees or more than $10 million in annual revenue.
There are a few alternatives: colima and podman.
If your company is looking to make a switch due to licensing issues, my recommendation would be to use podman.
Red Hat backs Podman and has a graphical interface similar to Docker Desktop.
It’s open source with an Apache license and is a drop-in replacement for the docker
command.
